The hills are alive with the Sound of Music...

Rachel (Marta) had her first performance in the school production of the Sound of Music this past week! Here are some pictures with commentary from Rachel herself....

This was my first scene. My brothers and sisters and I met our new governess Maria. Alison W. is on my left, she played Brigitta.

This was the bedroom scene. This is where we sang the song My Favorite Things with Maria to get the thunder storm off our mind. I got to stand on the bed!!

This is the party scene. Here I am singing my solo in the song So Long Fairwell.
Here we are singing for our uncle Max.
Here we are at the festival singing the song Edlevis as a family.

I really enjoyed doing the play and look forward to my next performance next Saturday!

The ARGAT Blogs first correction!

Sorry, this blog is really an endeavor of a self proclaimed amateur and while I do strive for excellence and accurancy I admit errors will and do occasionally get by me.

I say this because I had a reader of this blog who is in China, inform me that I had an inaccurate, unauthorized picture in one of my earlier posts.

I have corrected this oversight. I do apologize, you just never know how reliable the information you get off the internet is.

hehehehehehehehehehe

Mark your calendars!

Everyone, mark your calendars for the last 2 weekends of April, no not just to remember my birthday but to also add the "Sound of Music" play at the girls school. Rachel has her first big performance, she will be playing Marta.
She has been attending practice for the past couple of weeks. As the time gets closer, I will get you more information but it would mean a lot to her if you all could come and see her perform.
